After selling his music catalogue for 100 million dollars, T-Pain is now streaming full time.
In February 2025, the singer sold his entire music catalogue, accord to report, the catalogue was sold for 100 million U.S dollars.
After a successful deal, T-Pain described it as “a hundred years worth of money”. And the first this he did out of the money was getting himself a private jet.
After selling his catalogue, the single as now taken Twitch as his full time as he starts a full time streaming and report stated that the singer makes about $60,000 per hour doing it.
He grew up in a town called Tallahassee in Florida, at age 10, the singer turned his room into musical studio and he started sampling the game called GoldenEye007 into his beats.
He started as a gamer before he became a pop star and got signed by Konvict Music by Akon, becoming the first musical artist Akon signed into his label. During his musical career, the single bosted that he has 40 million dollars in his bank account and 36 cars.
In june 2009 JayZ released a song titled D.O.A(Death Of Auto-Tune). Then T-Pain was known as the Autotune. Everyone eventually got a copies of the song, but T-Pain was the one who got blamed for it.
T-Pain said his depression started In 2013 while in flight on his way to the BET Awards when Usher called him to the back of his plane and told him “You Kinda f#k#d up musically.” and that was how his four years depression started.
During his depression journey, T-Pain was spending more and more and more while earning less, then he eventually ran into bankruptcy. It was so bad to the point that he stopped looking at his own account so he wont see the numbers until he finally got to zero and had to live on borrowing money to buy food for himself and hid kids.
His come-back point started in 2023 at a PLAYSTATION EVENT watching stranger’s livestream. The game they were playing didn’t give him as much joy as the joy he got from the feeling that he is not alone.
In 2026, T-Pain started his own streaming channel and things got more interesting when his streaming got to having up to two hundred viewers in some nights. Someone from his comment section told him he’s only streaming because he had gone out of music money. He said sometimes he had same thoughts but he kept going and his passion for it kept growing.
After a year of consistency, his streaming community grew big and income started looking for good snd healthy, then he built a Nappy Boy Gaming, ad a streaming team which he built on one rule. “You don’t have to be really good at game. You just got to be a good person.” Now he says he’s “Making more money off of video games than i’ve made in the last four years.
On his Twitch, he has taken down his title “Musician” and replaced it with CHAIRMAN AND CEO OF NAPPY BOY ENTERPRISES.
