Many of us know the 2026 WorldCup has started since few days ago and many nations has received their own share of the first match.
First two nations to face each other were Mexico and South Africa on 11th of June 2026,the result went as many might have predicted as Mexico defeated South Africa 2-0.
But many other big names like Brazil, Spain and Portugal who ended their first 2026 worldcup game with a 1-1 draw were not that lucky.
Brazil played against Morocco and the African side got the leading goal at the 21st minute, while the American side struggled for an equalizer on the 32nd minute. The draw lasted for the whle 90minutes and ended 1-1 draw as none of the side could take the 3points victory.
Spain result was like a shock to the whole world as they could not score a single goal against Cape Verde, an African side who just marked their first appearance ever in the history of the WORLD CUP.
Spain narrowly escaped with a point as the game ended on a 0-0 draw.
Portugal is another country that gave the world of football a shocking result in a 1-1 draw against Dr Congo from Africa.
The first half was going as planned for the Portuguese team until the last attempt on goal by Dr Congo resulted to a last kick equalizer.
They resumed the second half with a 1-1 draw with everyone hopping or expecting that name like Christiano Ronaldo will net at least a goal for hist country before the end of the 90mins.
But at the end, Africa celebrates another advantage as Dr Congo held down the great Portuguese team on a 1-1 draw, even made several attempt to grab the lead which was denied by the Portuguese goal stoper Diogo Costa.
While it looks like goals were scarce in same games, many other games recorded multiple goals by country who won with obvious margin.
Germany defeated Curacao 7-1: This victory made Germany supposed Brazil’s all-time tournament goals record with 1 goal taking the top spot with 239 total world cup goals
England ended the game with 4-2 against Croatia: Harry Kane displayed an impressive performance scoring twice in their victory against Croatia.
Sweden defeated Tunisia 5-1:
France defeated Senegal 3-1: Kylian Mbappe was not left out in the goal scoring shit. he netted 2 goals in a 3-1 victory for France against Senegal.
Norway 4-1 Iraq: Erling Haaland also got 2 goals out of 4-1 victory in favor of his country.
Lionel Messi gave Argentina the victory scoring hattrick in a match that ended 3-1 against Algeria.
Ivory Coast was the first and only African country to win its opening match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, defeating Ecuador.
